We just returned from our Alaskan Family Cruise Vacation, including visits to Vancouver, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Anchorage, and Denali!
By family I mean: my husband Jeff and I, my mom, my Aunt Cathy and Uncle Gary, my Uncle Rick, my sister Adele, her husband Keith, and their kids Natalie and Ryan.
We had a really great time seeing the sights and experiencing the sometimes challenging world of land and sea travel.
We booked a 12 day Alaskan cruise/land tour through Holland America. The tour included cruising the Inside Passage from Vancouver to Seward, a guided coach tour to Denali, three nights in charming elegant cabins at Denali National Park, and a night in Anchorage.
On the cruise ship, we slept in comfortable cabins, dined like kings, enjoyed early morning stretch and yoga classes, a relaxing hydro-spa, evening entertainment, and activities galore. Jeff and I attended an Alaskan Brewery beer tasting on the boat.
We watched xthe waters and shores for signs of wildlife, spotting humpback whales, porpoises, harbor seals, Stellar Sea Lions, puffins, mountain goats and a brown bear!!
We met for dinner each night in the formal Dining Room to recap the day’s events. It was nice to hear everyone’s stories and experiences.
